Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as an entity?

An entity corresponds to one connected Xero organisation tenant. Each entity receives its own dedicated planning workspace, chart of accounts, tracking categories, and sync pipeline.

Do you charge per user or seat?

No. We believe FP&A should be collaborative. You can invite all your department heads, project managers, and budget holders into dplan at no extra charge.

Why don't you do group consolidation inside the app?

Every group has unique consolidation rules (complex eliminations, minority interests, bespoke FX translation). Rather than forcing you into a rigid box, dplan focuses deeply on operational per-entity planning and exports clean, unified datasets to your warehouse or Power BI for group reporting.

How does the Power BI pipeline work?

dplan automatically syncs your combined Xero actuals and planning models into your cloud database (PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, or BigQuery). Connect Power BI using DirectQuery or import mode for automated reports.
